Outstanding Ilonggo students named

IN a ceremony held at Monfort Hall of the DepEd Bldg. last March 14, the Outstanding Students Circle of Iloilo (OSCI) bestowed awards to 20 Ilonggo students, both from elementary and secondary levels.
Liza Marie Sira of Sta. Barbara Central Elementary School is the Most Outstanding Elementary Pupil.
Alyanna Krista Fuego of Ateneo de Iloilo – Sta. Maria Catholic School, Shaynne Laurice Demafiles of Iloilo Central Elementary School, Sheena Mae Amit of West Visayas State University – Integrated Laboratory School, Alyanna Cortum of SPED-Integrated School for Exceptional Children, Estee Joy Adolfo of Guimbal Central Elementary School, Exelle Anne Garrido of San Enrique Central School, Christina Mae Tronco of Cabatuan Central Elementary School, Adrian Nichol Lizada of Don Eugenio Ladrido Memorial Elementary School, and Karla Rosa Hualde of New Lucena Central School completes the roster of the top 10 elementary students.
Most Outstanding Secondary School Student is Ray John Pamillo of Central Philippine University High School.
Victor Robinson III of Ateneo de Iloilo – Sta. Maria Catholic School, Ken Hualde of Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School, Frances Pauline Leda of Lambunao National High School, Ivory June Cadete of SPED – Integrated School for Exceptional Children, Karl Vincent Abalajon of UP Visayas High School, Joe Abad Lazaro Jr. of Don Felix Serra National High School, Ability Ann Tacaisan of Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus, Luville Dato-on of San Enrique National Comprehensive High School, and Donna Isabelle Fresnido of University of San Agustin High School rounds up the top 10 high school students.
Instituted in 2004, OSCI revived the defunct awards for Ten Outstanding Students given by then Iloilo Governor Conrado Norada during the 1970s.
“I hope this annual awards will motivate students to work for better and more worthwhile undertakings, not just in their schools, but also in their communities,” OSCI chairman Henry Caspe pointed out.
“More importantly, I hope that the OSCI awards will help identify our feature outstanding leaders,” Caspe added.
