(June 30, 2006) President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo assisted by Senate President Franklin Drilon, unveils the marker of the P47.5-million Jalandoni Bridge during its inauguration Thursday (June 30) in Iloilo City. (June 30 2006) President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo salutes while trooping the line upon her arrival Thursday (June 30) at the Iloilo City airport. The President flew to Iloilo City to lead the inauguration of the P47.5-million Jalandoni Bridge and to address the Philippines-Spain Friendship Day celebration hosted by Governor Neil Tupas at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol. 6/20/07 Arroyo approves 3 bridges in Iloilo By Joel E. Zurbano www.manilastandardtoday.com/?page=regions4_june20_2007PRESIDENT Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has approved the plan of the Iloilo City government to erect more flyovers in the city, the Department of Public Works and Highways announced yesterday. The department is set to finish the P400-million Infante flyover in Molo district on July 31 and the President is set to personally inaugurate the Infante flyover once it is completed. The other vehicular flyovers that will be constructed are in the area of El 98 in Jaro district leading to Diversion Road; from Jalandoni Bridge going to General Luna Street in the city proper; and the area of Jalandoni Street and Commission Civil in Jaro. www.manilastandardtoday.com/?page=regions4_june20_2007
